Xiang Liao has successfully defended his master’s thesis, entitled Transferring a Software Testing Approach Across Autonomous Driving Software: A Case Study of DoppelTest and Autoware, and completed his M.S. in Software Engineering at UC Irvine. His thesis adapts DoppelTest, our ICSE 2023 approach for testing autonomous driving systems, from Baidu Apollo to Autoware and shows that the adapted approach uncovers safety-critical failures in Autoware.
